Windows NT Forensic Utility Suite

NTI has been supplying Fortune 500 corporations, law enforcement agencies, military agencies and Big 5 accounting firms with computer forensic and computer security risk assessment tools since 1996. In 1999, NTI completed its development of a suite of forensic tools for use with Windows NT systems. This was undertaking was accomplished by William A. Haynes who is one of the top software utility developers. We appreciate the help provided by some of our Big 4 accounting firm clients, military agencies, Fortune 500 corporations and law enforcement computer specialists in the beta testing of this software. Without their help, this project would have taken many more months to complete. As far as we know, this is the only forensic suite of tools developed specifically for the processing of Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The Windows NTFS Suite includes the following:

TextSearch NT - A DoD certified text search utility for use in processing Windows NT/XP-based computer systems. It searches files, slack and erased space.

FileList Pro - A disk catalog tool used to evaluate computer use time lines for normal and erased files on Windows NT/XP systems.

GetFree NT - An ambient data collection tool used to capture unallocated data on Windows NT systems.

GetSlack NT - An ambient data collection tool used to capture file slack on Windows NT systems.

DiskSig Pro - A hashing tool used to validate the accuracy of an evidence grade copy of a hard disk drive. It is also used to inventory the partitions on a hard disk drive and the operating systems involved.
