Gail Thackeray
Gail Thackeray is a Vassar College and Syracuse University College of Law graduate who has over 20 years of experience as a prosecutor specializing in computer crime and technology related litigation. She is considered one of the veterans in the field of computer crime litigation and is a founding member of the Federal Computer Investigations Committee (FCIC) and also a member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). Gail has testified in the U.S. House of Representatives on computer virus and Electronic Computer Privacy Act legislation. She has also acted as a consultant to the British Ministry of Trade in connection with the draft of computer crime statutes and assisted in drafting Pennsylvania State and Arizona State computer crime statutes.
Ms. Thackeray frequently trains corporate and law enforcement investigators and lawyers and often lectures at conferences sponsored by organizations which include the U.S. Air Force: Office of Special Investigations, Computer Crime Unit; Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT), Berlin, Germany; Electronic Data Processing Auditor's Association (EDPAA) Asia-Pacific Conference, Tokyo, Japan; International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS); FBI, National Academy; American Bar Association; National College of District Attorneys; Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC); SEARCH; National White Collar Crime Center; American Law Institute (ALI/ABA); National Computer Security Conference (NIST); Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA); American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and the High Technology Crimes Investigation Association (HTCIA).
